Draft Ombud Council Rules for the PFA, 2026: Parliamentary Submission
The Ombud Council has the power to make Ombud Council Rules (binding subordinate legislation) for or in respect of ombuds and ombud schemes, in accordance with section 201(1) of the Financial Sector Regulation Act, 2017 (FSR Act). We published draft Ombud Council Rules for the Pension Funds Adjudicator (PFA) for public comment in September 2025. The Ombud Council has submitted a draft of the Rules to Parliament for a period of 30 days while Parliament is in session, as required by section 103(1) read with section 98 of the Financial Sector Regulation Act, 2017.
