The Ombud Council has the power to make Ombud Council Rules (binding subordinate legislation) for or in respect of ombuds and ombud schemes, in accordance with section 201(1) of the Financial Sector Regulation Act, 2017 (FSR Act).
We today publish and invite comment on Draft Ombud Council Rules for the Pension Funds Adjudicator, 2026 to provide for practical procedural matters regarding the operation of the Adjudicator, aimed at ensuring stakeholder clarity regarding complaint handling processes and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of such processes.
Written comments should be submitted to admin@ombudcouncil.org.za by no later than 14 November 2025, using the Comments Template provided.
